How to Claim Your Hong Kong Registry Listing on Trusgent
How to Claim Your Hong Kong Registry Listing on Trusgent
Step-by-step for HK merchants: find your official /r record, claim free, complete the Agent Page and Brand Page, and avoid the 404 traps of unclaimed /t links.
How to Claim Your Hong Kong Registry Listing on Trusgent
If your company already appears on a Trusgent `/r` page from Hong Kong open registers, you can claim it free—then edit the Agent Page (`/t`) and Brand Page (`/b`) that AI systems and customers actually use. Claiming does not invent a new legal entity; it binds the official registry row to your account so you can correct contacts, publish services, and go live without waiting for a paid verification package.
This guide is merchant-facing (not an API integration guide). For engineers wiring Merged Profile / MCP, see [Integrate HK Registry Merged Profile](/guides/integrate-hk-registry-merged-profile).
What “Claim” Means (and What It Does Not)
| Term | Meaning on Trusgent |
| --- | --- |
| Registry page `/r` | Legal / official open-register facts (FEHD, CR, IA, societies, etc.). Stable URL; does not 301 away after claim. |
| Claim | You assert authorized representation and link the `/r` record to an agent you own. |
| Agent Page `/t` | Your editable project identity: headline, services, Trust Score surface, machine-readable JSON. |
| Brand Page `/b` | Human-facing facade: hours, menu, booking, contacts. |
| Authenticity verification | Paid / reviewed trust upgrade—optional after claim; not required to start editing. |
Claim ≠ verification. Free claim unlocks editing and directory eligibility once the profile is complete. Human authenticity verification adds badges, Trust Score lift, and stronger crawl push.
Before You Start
Prepare:
1. Legal name exactly as on the licence / Companies Registry extract
2. Licence or registration number if shown on the `/r` page
3. A Trusgent account (sign-in)
4. Optional: existing agent you want to attach (or create a new one during claim)
Authority: only claim if you are an owner, director, or authorized representative. False claims can be revoked.
Step 1 — Find Your `/r` Record
1. Open [Registry browse](/registry) or search from the homepage.
2. Filter by Hong Kong category when needed (food premises, money lenders, insurance intermediaries, associations, etc.).
3. Open the matching `/r/{registryId}` page.
4. Confirm licence number, address, and English / Chinese names match your paperwork.
If you cannot find the record, it may not be ingested yet, or the source list uses a different spelling. Use alternate name search; contact support with the official identifier if still missing.
For the layered SEO → GEO → AAO context, see [SEO vs AEO vs GEO vs AAO: A Practical Matrix](/blog/seo-aeo-geo-aao-practical-matrix-for-local-merchants).
Step 2 — Free Claim
On the unclaimed `/r` page:
1. Click Claim This Business Free (or the purple ownership CTA).
2. Confirm you are an authorized representative.
3. Choose Create New Agent or Link To Existing Agent.
4. Complete sign-in if prompted; you will return with `?claim=1` to finish.
After success, the dashboard opens the agent editor with onboarding hints. The `/r` URL stays the public legal source of truth.
Step 3 — Complete the Agent Page (`/t`)
Directory and GEO quality depend on completeness—not on claim alone.
Minimum practical set:
•Display name aligned with the register (plus a clear trading name if different)
•One-sentence headline and a short description
•At least one service / offering
•Correct region / city
•Public contact paths you actually monitor
Until these exist, assistants may still discover `/r` facts but lack a recommendable project profile.
Step 4 — Publish the Brand Page (`/b`)
Unclaimed merchants can open `/b/preview/{registryId}` to see a demo facade. After claim:
1. Edit hours, contacts, menu or service list, and booking / inquiry settings.
2. Publish so `/b/{handle}` is live.
3. Keep NAP consistent with `/r` and `/t`.
Do not share unclaimed `/t` URLs expecting a live page—those often 404 until claim creates the agent. Prefer `/r` and preview `/b` in outreach before claim.
Step 5 — Optional: Authenticity Verification
When you need stronger Trust Score, verification badges, and sitemap / IndexNow push:
1. Submit licence photos / corporate proofs from the dashboard.
2. Wait for staff review.
3. Keep public fields updated after approval (verification does not freeze your content).
Common Mistakes
| Mistake | Better approach |
| --- | --- |
| Claiming the wrong registry row | Match licence number + address, not only similar trade name |
| Leaving `/t` empty after claim | Fill headline + ≥1 service before expecting directory listing |
| Sending customers to a pre-claim `/t` link | Use `/r` or `/b/preview` until live |
| Treating claim as SEO magic | Claim enables accurate entity data; rankings / mentions still need consistency |
| Ignoring Chinese / English name drift | Publish both; keep one canonical legal string |
After Claim: How Pages Work Together
```
Official facts → /r (provenance)
Editable story → /t (Agent Card / GEO)
Guest actions → /b (hours, menu, book)
```
Agents and crawlers can read JSON counterparts for `/t` and `/b`. Humans share whichever surface fits the channel.
FAQ
Is claim free forever?
Claiming and basic editing are free under current plans. Paid verification and some growth packs are optional upgrades. Check pricing / contact for limits on number of agents.
Can one company link multiple agents?
Yes, via multi-link registry–agent relationships when you operate multiple projects under one legal entity. Prefer clear naming so models do not merge them incorrectly.
What if the official register data is wrong?
Claim, then document the discrepancy. You can supplement contacts and narrative on `/t`/`/b`; statutory fields still show provenance from the open register. Escalate stubborn source errors to support with evidence.
How is this different from Google Business Profile?
GBP optimizes maps and Google Search. Trusgent optimizes machine-readable identity + HK open-register provenance + agent invoke paths for ChatGPT-class assistants and A2A tools. Many merchants run both.
Next Step
Search your licence on [Trusgent Registry](/registry), open `/r`, and claim free. Then complete `/t` and publish `/b` in the same sitting—most of the GEO lift comes from finishing those surfaces, not from the claim click alone.
